1) Pioneer - Mr. Knox W. Tull. Jr., P.E., Co-Founder & President of Jackson & Tull

2) Innovation in Technology Award - Nathaniel Portis, Co-owner Solgreen Solutions, LLC.

3) Corporate Community Services and Education Partnership Awards - Oxon Hill High School Science and Technology Program

4) Lifetime Achievement in Engineering and Science – Dr. Gwendolyn Boyd, Executive Assistant to the Chief of Staff at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory

5) Humanitarian – Dr. Ed Jackson Jr., Executive Architect of the Washington, DC, Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial Project Foundation, Inc. & and President of ArchD Consulting, LLC.

6) Keynote Speaker CAPT. Clayton Mitchell, retired U.S. Navy

Planning for Discover Engineering Family Day

The Pre-College Initiative Committee is seeking individuals who would like to organize activities for Discover Engineering Family Day at the National Building Museum on Feb 18, 2012. There will be a face-to-face planning meeting on December 17, 2011.

Executive Mentoring Program Introduced






Mentoring is a developmental partnership through which one person shares knowledge, skills, information and perspective to foster the personal and professional growth of another individual.

 





Purpose

The National Society of Black Engineers – Alumni Extension Washington D.C. Metropolitan Area Chapter (NSBE-AEDC) Executive Mentoring Program links chapter members with corporate executives within the community, who provide one-on-one guidance that aids in professional development and contributes to the advancement of our members’ careers.
