We strive to bridge the gap between Collegiate and Alumni membership through mentoring and professional development. The Chapter has established relationships with several DC Metropolitan colleges and universities, supporting collegiate NSBE chapters in their endeavors while providing students with mentoring, professional development, and exposure to several corporate partners.

College Coffee and Conversations

AEDC sponsored event that brings corporate partners and local collegiate NSBE chapters together for networking, recruiting, and open and honest conversation. Representatives from several companies take part in informal one-on-one sessions with engineering students from across the DC metropolitan area.

College/Academy Tour

NSBE-AEDC collaborates with its partners to provide high school and middle school students with tours of institutions of higher learning.

Rising Professionals Corporate Tour

NSBE-AEDC collaborates with its partners to provide students with tours of institutions of higher learning.

College Initiative Speaker Series

NSBE-AEDC provides collegiate NSBE chapters with accomplished professionals who give talks and workshops on their respective STEM related careers.

College Expo

NSBE-AEDC host a booth each year at this college fair that connects students and student athletes directly to colleges, including historically black colleges and universities. The event gives our chapter the opportunity to promote its Future Innovators Scholarship, introduce students and parents to the opportunities available for those majoring in STEM fields, and to inform them of the STEM related activities provided by NSBE-AEDC and its community partners.
