NSBE-AEDC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Our chapter is made up a broad range of technical professionals, who believe in continuing the NSBE mission throughout the greater Washington metropolitan area.  For over 20 years, we have been actively involved in the community and public school system as trusted advisors, tutors, mentors and role models to future engineers, scientists and mathematicians. Our chapter serves to promote the continuing education of minority high school students actively seeking careers in the fields of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). Our pipeline of NSBE support continues throughout collegiate and professional endeavors. Over the past two years we have raised over $20,000 in scholarship funds and have contributed to the college education of 22 students.
